If you can compare the BMW K 1200 R disadvantages Harley Sportster, you have to compare apples and oranges. The Beemer is the technology in the modern sports bike, as you can get, while the school is so old definition has a mustache. A better comparison between HD and BMW would be the Sportster front of the F-650 BMW CS, or ask your dealer for the new BMW F-800, which is coming soon.
Most of the idiots on this site, you say go to the Harley, because it's cool, or is made in the United States, or it seems ... But you want to go out of fashion, or you want to drive a motorcycle?
If you seriously think about riding, then go for the BMW and had all his former comrades riding HD technology in the dust. If you want to look just a poser and cool, then you know what to do.
